The analyzer screens the grinding material and controls the fineness of the finished product; the fan provides wind power to blow the material; the cyclone separator collects the powder that meets the fineness.

Applicable glass types

Raymond mill has a better processing effect on soft glass such as soda-lime glass and borosilicate glass. This type of glass has a low hardness and is easy to grind. In the production of recycled building glass powder, Raymond mill is often used to grind waste soda-lime glass into 80-200 mesh powder for use as building material filler, thereby reducing costs and improving resource utilization.

Purity requirements

Raymond mill is also suitable when the purity requirement is not high. For example, in the production of non-high-purity architectural glass recycling powder and ordinary glass micro-powder, metal impurities may be introduced, but in scenarios where the purity requirement is not strict, a small amount of impurities will not affect the product performance.

Fineness requirements

Raymond mill is suitable for processing 80-400 mesh medium fineness glass powder. For example, to manufacture glass microbead precursor, the glass needs to be processed to 325 mesh, and then put into Raymond mill for grinding after pretreatment. The micro powder that meets the requirements is selected with the analyzer and fan, and then made into glass microbeads through high temperature sintering and other processes, which are used in reflective and wear-resistant materials and other fields.

Raymond mill is not suitable for all glass processing, such as quartz glass, high aluminum glass and other super-hard glass, which will wear the equipment, shorten the life, increase costs and affect efficiency. When ultra-fine powder above 1000 mesh is required, its fineness is limited and it is not suitable. When high purity requirements such as optical glass powder processing, Raymond mill will introduce metal contamination and affect performance.
